Dietary Intern

Internship Length: 45 hrs
Office Hours: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm

Essential Functions:

Learn about dietary drinks and service.
Serve residents meals, as needed.
Assist with tray service and delivery.
Communicate and interact with residents, family and staff.
Exercise confidentiality of resident information at all times.
Help keep work areas neat and organized.
Use appropriate behavior in keeping with the mission, vision and beliefs of Oaknoll and in accordance with operating procedures and policies.

Minimum Requirements:

Comfortable in visiting with residents.
Ability to follow instructions, be a team player, have a positive attitude and enjoy working with the elderly.
Must be detail oriented, flexible, courteous and professional.
Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
Must be a high school student in good standing.
A professional appearance is essential.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

Safety expectations, including harassment, should be reviewed with the host.
