Events Assistant Intern

Internship Length: 45 hrs
Office Hours: 8-5

Essential Functions:

Attend all dept./resident meetings.
Assist with Bulletin board updates, design of event signage, in-house event planning and database control.
May create and report information for a resident/employee newsletter.
May create a database of contacts for director.
May act as social director at resident events and activities.
Deliver posters throughout facility.
Assists with proofing and printing event materials.
Help keep work areas neat and organized to promote positive image. Use appropriate behavior in keeping with the mission, vision and beliefs and in accordance with operating procedures and policies

Minimum Requirements:

Skills/Knowledge: Must have good oral and written communication skills.
Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
Be willing to work flexible hours.
Must complete departmental orientation and complete or offer proof of a negative TB screen (test offered free of charge at Cottage Grove Place).
Must pass a background check.
Must have a basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word
Prompt and dependable, takes pride and ownership in work. Must be a self-starter, team player and able to perform routine tasks without being prompted.
Must be a high school student in good standing. Must be poised, mature and possess a positive attitude while being flexible. Ability to follow instructions. Professional and trustworthy conduct is required.
Must be courteous and respectful.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.
